Anyone used redline watter with there pro?

Does it actually make a difference, or not worth it

i was going to try it. if i could find engine ice locally i would run that instead.

Water wetter is a surficant, works the same as detergent with a foam inhibitor. Flow, boundry layers, transfer. Without a good knowledge of thermo and fluid dynamics nothing will make much sense.

In short it allows the coolant to cool more efficently by maximizing surface area of the cooling fluid in contact with the heating and cooling surfaces.

Works, but it doesn't "add" horsepower.

Not looking to add hp, just help cool my sled.

X2 just wanna help aid the cooling, run a few degree cooler

Ive heard amsoil coolant boost is good

I know no one is looking at add hp, some manufacturers claim theirs adds hp, when in reality all they are doing is maintaining or at least prolonging performance levels prior to heat saturation.\

Any commercial solution will work well, redline is the only one that I have persoal experience with.

put engine ice in for one of my buddies a couple of weeks ago. you have to flush the entire system which makes it kind of a pain, am interested if it helps. takes about a gallon and a quart...

I have run watter wetter in my sled and turbo vehicles for years with good results. I read an article a few years back that stated it works better in radiators than heat exchangers due to surface area exposure which makes sense.

Ran it in road race cars where it's not allowed to run antifreeze. Made zero difference to water temps.

Water wetter is a surfactant that allows the WATER portion of anti-freeze to wet out better (more surface area coverage = better heat transfer). The ONLY reason you won't see much of a diff is if you continue using the 50/50 blend that most everyone uses in sleds. YOU HAVE TO INCREASE THE RATIO OF WATER FOR IT TO WORK WELL PEEPS!!! Of course, don't go overboard or you'll risk freezing and don't expect a miracle either! 8-10 deg drop with 2/3 water is what I've seen for my Doos but only 4-5 deg for the Pro because of the smaller surface area available since the coolers are smaller! Not enough to help the Pro versions and their lack of front cooler.

Have FUN!

Works fine, but it will make your coolant look dirty. Prestone and Justice Brothers make coolant conditioners that are white in color, and does the same thing. Your coolant will look bright green still and probably will not cost as much.

I have used it but before I added it I dilluted the nearly 100% antifreeze down to an acceptable level and then added the water wetter. It did seem to help a bit and I used distilled water to thin it out.

EXACTLY!!! After fighting a cooling issue with the 514 in our 64' Galaxie, we used Purple Ice and the less coolant you have in your system, the better it works. I can't see it working much at all in a sled since I really don't want my sled to freeze up. Galaxie is in heated garage so there is no danger of cracked blocks. Add scratcher and run them would be my opinion.
