Water Temp or Air/Fuel gauge?

Depends a bit.....
If you have mods (pipe, porting, etc) you may want to get a A/F gauge, but for me I just let the DPM do it's job.
I did opt for a temp gauge, as I do have to ride some trails to get from cabin to backcountry, and the REV get's darn hot without scratchers working full bore. I watch the temp and when it gets high, I know when to dip off-trail, or other......it takes the guesswork out of worrying about temp in hardpack conditions.

Again depends on mods. I run a water temp gauge on ALL sleds regardless of their mods. They are just a good thing to have.
Modded sleds I prefer an EGT to an A/F. The last gauge I install on a two stroke is an A/F.

Just my .02

gotcha. all i have done is no outer air box, gutted inner with uni's, and a dynoport can... thats all as far as engine stuff. also people are saying to put a fuel pressure gauge in... is this that important or is it necessary?

What sled is this? Fuel pressure gauge shouldnt be necessary on an 800. I would throw a cheap automotive water temp gauge on it, buckle an EGT to it if you are worried about having a lean spot and call it good.
