Water Meth Question

This is my 3rd season running Daves Water/Meth kit up until now I've just been running straight -35 windshield washer fluid with no issues.. I've been doing some reading and noted most guy's in the auto world run 50/50 water/meth with good success.. The closest thing I could find from Petro Canada was "99.9% Pure Methyl Hydrate". I purchased the product and after doing some more reading found Methanol, is Different then Myehyl hydrate, which is different then ethanol..

Will what I bought serve the purpose? The fellow at Petro Can said it was the same as the methanol he sells in the drum..

Has anyone run what I bought? I see methyl hydrate freezes at -30 Deg C 50/50), where as methanol (50/50) is good to the high -40s Deg C.

They are essentially the same what can differ is water content, methyl hyrdate is the desinated british name for methanol so Canada also adopted that name and in the states they just call it methanol, methyl hydrate is fine and if its less than 99.9% that just means it contains more water thus allowing it to freeze at lower temps compared to nearly pure methanol,
So go ahead and run the methyl hydrate imo

Update

I picked up 20L of VP M1 Methanol today after further scouring of the internet (which has never told any lies ) last night.. I was hoping M1 would be dyed but it's not. I didn't get the low level option in my kit and instead mounted my reservoir so it pokes through the plastic by my knee. Up until now it was easy to see the level at a glance because the washer fluid I ran was dark blue and easy to see through the clearish tank.. Now with a clear Water/Meth mixture in the tank the level is quite hard to see.. Has anyone got a solution to dye the mixture? Food colouring? I tired a couple drops of 2 stroke oil in a small quantity of the mixture and it wouldn't dissolve but instead clumped up..

I also read methanol is quite hard on seals etc. Do you guy's leave the mixture in the tank and pump when in storage or flush it all out? I read the guy's running alcohol in drag racing are quite particluar about removing it from the system with WD-40, these guy's are also running straight alcohol which I'm sure is way harder on things.

Ever thought of buying snow performance boost juice concetrate?? It's red coloured and you just mix with water and go,

I would flush out for storage but if its used regularly ( weekly), I wouldn't bother

The washer fluid I was running is stated to be around 30% methaol, plus all the other crap for bugs and windshileds.. Knowing this I'm thinking 50/50 will be fine. I snafooed my wifes favorite red Club House food colouring and after 4 drops I had a nice rosy colour in my mixture.. I left it over night on the porch at -20 and found it nicely mixed up in solution still this morning. I'm thinking this is my new go to boost juice!
