Water/Meth Injection

I have been doing a little research on these kits for my truck. I really haven't found a negative thing about them which is good but slightly alarming. If they are all they're cracked up to be why isn't everyone running them?

Does anyone have experiance with them on a Cummins? Any draw backs/ problems?

Water/Meth injection is awesome. It is really a hidden gem. Draw back... you can run out of fluid. Meth can get pricey after a while (nothing major). You should use distilled water if you have hard water where you are.

I was looking at a "Devils Own" kit for my car.

Snow kit is awesome!

Doesnt make a huge amount of power, also helps cool egt's!

What year of truck is it?

It an 05. The thing I want it for is lower EGT's. Even a stock truck would have to benefit from lower temps wouldn't it? Any extra h.p and mileage is just a bonus.

yes, thats all ive heard about, so you wouldnt think it would be to expensive to keep full.

If its an 05 and you want EGT reduction, take the money and put an intake and exhaust on it, or just go with an SPS62 from Industrial Injection, thats a 1 time deal and any one of them would work 100% of the time, watermeth is boost activated and if you drove with it on all the time and just used your winshield washer tank youll be out everyday!

I have heard you can use windshield washer fluid yes?

Yes and no....
Yes it is methanol, the bad is that there are other ingredients that might not be the best to inject. The Glycol in washer fluid is bad on your motor oil, which brings up another good point. I have heard that you might have to increase your oil changes, or at least initially.

The Snow kit is nice but it costs quite a bit more than the Devils own kit. Devils own does not make you buy a tank, instead it is an option and you can buy smaller or larger. With Snow you get stuck with the ONE size. Yes you can get a smaller or larger but you still get stuck with that one tank. For many cars it is too large (won't fit) and for many trucks it doesn't hold enough.

There are a couple different mounting options.

You can do dual nozzles as well. Post intercooler is good for helping with intake temps. Ideally before your MAP sensor. Pre-intercooler is alright but you can get a fluid buildup in your intercooler. Pre turbo helps with EGT temps. I can't remember the benefit of right after the turbo, I think better atomization. You can also inject right at the intake, which reduces detonation.

Something else...

Make sure whatever kit you buy has progressive injection, meaning it does not just turn on or off. The advanced kits will allow you to start injecting at a set PSI, then they have another setting for where you want you MAX injection to be taking place.
