where did you go and was their snow when you got their? i should have gone to baker today, but barley pop took over my train of thought yesterday and i slept in till 10am. over 20 inch's of snow up their this weekend. where else is their snow fallen?

Went up to Sugarloaf, Miners Ridge Leavenworth area and it was ice. snowed about 3" the night before, enough to fill in tracks and some lee-side powder. the area is about 3 feet short of go anywhere conditions. All in all a decent ride for pre-trip testing.

there is a weak layer about 10 inch in some spots on the rail road grade and saw avy up high and 200 feet of rail road break from the top on its own so
with all the new stuff there could be some slides:face-icon-small-dis

unloaded at the blewett pass sno park, couple inches of fresh at the bottom and 4-5 on top. was a good family and kids day, no complaints, except for the jeep full of skiers 4 miles up the groomed trail.

my camera was in the sled in front ahead of me so i didnt get a pic. 2 of us had to go back to the truck to get more water and almost hit the jeep parked on a blind corner. was gonna get the plate # but they were gone on the way back up. funny thing is they were within 1/4 mile of some ski trails that had fresh snow on them but they preferred the groomed trail i guess.

I wish it was only the skiers. I went for a quick test romp up Reecer the other day (I think Thursday last week). A newer white Chevy with a sled deck decided they needed to drive about a mile up the freshly groomed trail. Nice big ruts down the middle of the groomed trail. Saw the same thing up Teanaway last year, except a truck and sled deck were stuck sideways on the nicely groomed trail about 2 miles beyond the dirt (I'll leave the esteemed forum member un-named....). Never quite understand that. Personally I'd rather ride my sled on the snow than drive my heavy 3/4 ton truck on the snow.....

I can keep a secret! ha ha..

Sucks when people get stuck on trails. I look at carbides as a maintenance item..

from 1 extreme to the next, there will probably be over 3 feet of new by this saturday, but it will still be socked in or snowin still.
