Warrenty? US--->Canada

Whats the deal with warrentys if a canadian was to buy a sled from the US and bring it up north here?
Are warrentys still honoured and fully in place once in canada?
the sled would be a polaris pro rmk.

I have heard that Polaris warranty is void in Canada once imported. I don't know if this is any/all warranty or if there are conditions on it being new or used. For example,

I know with Ski Doo if you buy a new sled and import it....warranty is void. If you buy a used sled over 1 year old, the warranty is transferable.

Phone Polaris USA and Polaris Canada and ask them.
