Wanting to get into the turbo but many ?s

First off i have a 2007 ski doo 800, and main goal is to get my feet wet first with a small turbo setup in order to get the feel for the boost.

After researching it looks like some kits do use the factory pipe and no intercooler...? are these low boost kits? where is the best place to contact for getting into a small kit? what are the must do's for even small boost?

whats the baseline cost for even small boost?

any help is appreciated, i rdie with some yamaha guys that run turbo's and can use all the help i can get giving them a little surprise this winter. :face-icon-small-hap

Contact cpi or turboboys.
they both have systems for your sled and have prices on their websites.

go to the performance modified section and read thru my carb turbo thread to get you ALL the info you need to roll your own kit if you want also.

once you get started or buy a kit we can help you along.

brycter, i put a request on the website for some info on your guys recomendations..but ill send ya a pm to mirror the request...

gus bohne...i appreciate the heads up ill take a look at that thread

i bought a used kit from a guy and called brycter he threw more info about the kit than i could write down pretty impressive from where i stand its all about customer service to me

first i would make sure that you have more than one sled to ride then i would try and find a used kit or start building your own depends on you situation i built my own and i really didn't save alot of money but i was able to buy one piece at a time and that's how it became a reality.

brycter---i appreciate the great followup and info, i look forward to working with you to get this baby rolling.

everyone---still have a few questions for you two stroke turbo runners...how will my 800 motor hold up to boost..i do understand that things will wear faster but how long can i get along without rebuilding? ive heard rumors that 1000 miles under boost is pushing it without pistons and rings...ive just never been around any turbo'd two stroke motors...i have 1000 miles on the sled now and if i turbo can i safely get a 700-800 mile season out of it without tearing it down...
