Wanting to change gearing will I need to

I want to drop a tooth on the top on my pro and maybe up one on the bottom will I need to redo my clutch weights?

Will I notice the topend loss climbing I don't really care about speed on the trails

If your primary is not shifting out all the way now...you can gear down without loosing top end.

There is a simple test for this using a permanent marker on the faces of the primary.

Go to the office supply store and buy the widest black "Marks A Lot" marker you can find... Push the belt all the way down in the primary and mark a wide line (3/4" wide) on the the face of the primary sheave in a line from the center of the primary out to the edge.

Ride the sled normally and see if the mark is wiped off all the way to the edge... if not wiped off to the edge... then you can gear it down. Do this test in normal riding...not blasting down the trail since that is not a good test under load.

I'm sure it is Pierre's Polaris set up my clutches. I would like a little more bottom end so I was thinking about dropping a tooth, I always did this on my sport bikes. how much weight should I need to add I have the slp stage 2 going to order the head and gear today I think I'm at 68.5 now

If you are truly clutched correctly... changing the gearing will not necessitate changing the weights or spring.

I geared my 12 pro down to 19/42 and am nothing but happy with it i gained 150 rpm with the change, all i have for mods is mds weights and a 12.5:1 par head. Great mod imo, i never added weight or anything because the current conditions were loading up the sled hard.
