Looking for an 08 Dragon Stock Head - had the new 2010 re-flash -no RPMs; 8000 - did not like it - want to do some testing with the stock head and 08 re-flash now

I believe that the heads are returned to Polaris when the updates are done. Why not send your new head to Carl's and get it cut for higher compression? The new head design is more efficient than the old one, Poo just gave it more volumn to lower compression. Carls has done quite a few heads. You might ask Carls about their 2008 map, I think they have a 2008 map with the new detonation protection.
Edit: The new map & update didn't lower my R's but I had a slight lean bog at initial throttle until it warms up. The updated map may have fixed it, haven't been out to test again.

Give Indy Dan a call. He may have some. 651-388-9045 Tell him you will pay a little more for him to tweak it. :thumb:
Or, Sean Ray may have some of his modified heads left seanmray@yahoo.com.
This should really be in the WTB section, but could turn into a good conversation so I'll leave it......

So would it be advantageous to have the compression increased on a stock engine? I thought I read somewhere that the stock comression was 13 something on the 09's and the updated head gives you 11 something. Could you still run 13 at low elevation without problems?

I like the 08 head also,, Im even using it on my09 turbo dragon. works great with the new 10 wimpy valve springs seems to come on boost smother, less abrupt,,, making it easier in the trees

what is the differance between the 08and the 09 chamber.I know there is a compression diff.Is the design the same just with more squash.

This is the great part of getting a "recall" notice. We are going to make your machine better but we are not going to tell you anything, you will just get some new parts.
I picked up the 13.2 head (slp high elevation) and asked them about running it below 6000'. It can be done, just may need more than 91 octane. I love buying back the compression I used to have. I know, Iknow, the updated poo has an improved chamber, but still.:face-icon-small-dis
