Wallowa mountains. snow conditions. joseph/halfway.

i have a trip planned for this coming weekend, leaving thursday, and returning monday. i'm wondering what the snow conditions are like. are they having an average year? or better? has there been any dumps of new snow recently?
our group is staying in joseph and riding from salt creek summit. any news would be much appreciated.

We got a little bit of snow here and there

Lots of snow here on the Halfway side probably 12 feet at Fish Lake. It has been coming fast and not setteling much. Last week we had 2 good storms first one was cold and dry second was warmer and wetter so avalanche danger is high.

how's the weather lookin for this weekend? it looked like dead mans pass was getting hit last night. did any of that hit the mountains around joseph/halfway?

Darn weather forcasters.

they need to be shot.

Forcast for awhile was for sunny weather this weekend now it's back to cloudy with snow showers.

There is a sled dog race that is being run this Thursday, Friday I'm not sure about Saturday though. They are starting from Joseph then over to Halfway and back to Joseph so watch out
for them on the main trails - OK

We got about 2 inch new last night here in town put strong winds blew it around a bit.

we were there 2 years ago on the same weekend, and saw the sled dog races. it was pretty cool to see, not something we have where i'm from.
i'm from western wa, the clouds will make me feel right at home.
