Walkie Talkie

Motorola makes good FRS radios. There is a difference between a $60 radio and the $20 ones. They're fairly easy to come by, best buy/circuit city should carry them, and most sports/hunting supply stores will have a good supply of them too.

Make sure you pack extra batteries for it.

Mule's dead on about a $60 radio & a 20. I bought a pair of cobras for 30 bucks.( REG. $139.99!!!!!! yeah, right). They worked just fine.. for the 3-4 hrs. that the batteries stayed charged! Replacing the batteries with quality ones would have negated all cost effectiveness. I'm not bashing Cobras, just the cheap radios in general. I'm probably just gonna give my set to my neices to play with.:p.
I've used higher end Motorolas before & they work great & the charge lasts a full days worth of use. You could prolly say the same thing about quality Cobras also.

bought a couple from costco, love um for simple comunications, these are the best bang for the buck imo, we got the motorola t6510 talkabouts, i see thay also have a three pack of a simular radio, i dont rememeber what we paid for these but thay where not cheap but not to expensive either, but overall good radio for a good price, i would do it again.
