Walden, CO Riding New Years (Rabbit Ears, buffalo pass, gould)

I was wondering what the riding is like in these areas around New Years? Also is it meadows or hills or both? I have rode the snowys for the past few years and was looking for something new..

what are the lodging options around this area? Where is the best place to stay? we don't mind trailering a bit and unloading but probably not more 30min.. do you stay in Walden and trailer to rabbit ears, buffalo pass or Gould?

I am unsure of what to do.. I know the snowies like the back of my hand and they haven't let me down yet. However it would be nice to "broaden my horizons" but don't really want to waste a day trying to figure out where I am or were to go.

Anything helps... Thanks

walden is good, kremtucky (kremmling) works as well. I you have a camper, you can squat in the lot.

great riding and great snow but can be unforgiving if the wind and snow kick up. I have almost lost guys a half a mile from the trailer in zero visibility conditions. you might as well be on the moon because if sure feels like it.

Go out expecting to spend the night and hope you dont have to. Maps, GPS, Spot, all necessary.
