Wahl Drivers and Anti Stab Kit for 09 Dragon

I am installing a set of Wahl anti-ratchet drivers and anti-stab kit and have a couple of questions about the mounting location.

I called Wahl and they said to install the anti-stab kit in the same location as the strap limiter bar and cut off the front of the rails for clearance.

However, I found a post that indicated you only need to remove the rail tips and drill out the rail tip mounting holes and install the anti-stab kit in this location. I am concerned that the anti-stab wheels will be too far forward and will come in contact with the drivers.

Anybody have experience with this?

Thanks,

Ive done 4 sets of drivers and stab kits myself..

wahl's advice is spot on, install the drivers, trim the rails back about 2" or just in front of he limiter strap holes, and install the stab kit in the front cross bar location nd install your limiter strap on the stab kit and your good to go.

I didn't bother to read the instructions on the anti stab when I put it in. The stock center driver fit quite nicely on the center two anti stab wheels and cause the sled to trench HORRIBLY. It luckily didn't damage anything as it was a chest deep day but the sled was absolutely miserable to ride. Trim 'em back a bit like they suggest.

stab kit

I got my anti stab kit from Timbersled, no instructions came with. I took the black tips off the rails and drilled the holes out. It fits nice, not sure if that is how it is supposed to be but that's how it seemed to fit best. I will take some pics and post them tonight.

I installed anit ratchets and anti stab last year in my 09 dragon and I put the anti stab in where the limiter strap cross bar was and trimmed the rails back. The first time I drove it when I hit a bump just right the rails would hit the drivers so I had to take it back apart and trim the rails back right up to the cross shaft. Since then no problems. Go with what Wahl says in the instructions and you wont have any issues

Now that I took a close look at it, I think it's got to be moved back.

Jeep, you have the wrong stab bud. Your wheels need to go on the sides of the limiter strap. Yes put the stab on the limiter bar, cut the rails/hifax back before the wheels and round them so they don't snag anything.

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I am kinda irritated with Timbersled. I had a hell of a time getting the skid all bolted up by myself. Now I got to take it back out. This time I am gonna get someone to give me a hand putting back in.

I did similar to what you show and when I ran the avid extroverts the teeth on the driver would actually hit the rail tip when the front suspension arm would collapse completely. I removed everything up to the shaft then guranteed no issues and wont have to remove the skid again:face-icon-small-hap
