That is nothing more than traction. The VW is an suv with lots of (AWD) traction. Put that truck in 4x4 and put 1000 lbs of weight in the back, re-test and report back.

Well, you are kind of right! My nephew owns one of these VWs, so I am somewhat familiar with it. The Tourag is designed to be a near 50/50 weight balance. Couple that with a V-10 diesel torque monster and the Duratrash doesn't have much of a chance even with 1,000 lbs.!

Who are you kidding? I'm a vw fan, had several. The v10 is a great motor but that chassis has always been too small to tow anything serious.

1000 lbs of weight or pulling in reverse that Tourag would get killed.
