Voltage Reg?

My 09 700 rmk started acting up saturday. when i would let off the throttle and come to a stop the sled would hiccup and the gauge would shut off then come back on. Sled still runs fine and everything works great. It did this probably 8 times.

Is the regulator crapping out on me?

My 09 D8 is doing hte same thing, been fighting it all season tring to get the seld to run consistant. Then I noticed my tail light is also out. I wonder if I am having a voltage regulator issue as well.

The 08-09 800 reg has 4 12v out puts. 3 go to the CPU and one goes to the Hood and accessories. Sounds like it's dieing. Check the ground too.

The V-regs are made with very cheap components. These cheap components cant handle much heat and they are trapped in an oven so to speak. Get some spacers under them to allow some airflow underneath also. The bolts are long enough to accomplish this.
