Volt. Regulator or TPS

I know this has been on here a million times Im just trying to figure out which it is. 08 700 RMK stars right up runs good then dies down no guage lights or numbers lights dim if i hit the throttle everything comes on voltage says 2 bars and then goes up to the top. Doesnt do it all the time but pretty often and it also clicks when it dies down. I raed a few things saying the VR but certain shops say no it might be the tps . Dont want to spend money for nothing and the nearest shop is 2 hours away. Thanks

i can't say for sure but i would think this would be a VR more than the TPS.

Mine 09 800 did almost the exact same thing, both tps and vr were ok. What I found was that it was to rich at idle. You might check your throttle bodys and make sure they are clean and not full of belt dust and gunk.

My 08 D8 was doing the same thing... It was a low idle, if you held the throttle open a bit it would work fine. also after it warmed up it was usually better. Took it into the shop they adjusted the TPS, no problems now!

After everything that affected fuel delivery was checked and ruled out I leaned out the idle 10% with a fuel box.

stator?

I had something similar last winter in the snowies. Ended up being the stator, a couple of the magnets came off. Mine was covered under my warranty. 08 800 155

the bad thing is ive heard about 10 different thing by now kinda sucks but i guess i will just start doing some testing keep posting though i will take the average maybe and replace whatever it is and let everyone know THANKS everyone
