Congrats Tom!
Congrats Tom,sorry about my apprehension selling the hawk,I had been wanting to sell mine for a year but no legit hits on it,so I decided rather than let it sit- I'd ride it again, just so happens you contacted me after my second day out on it and I was just lovin it!Ive since put 3 bigtanks thru it and am thinking I may just get rid of The M now..and upgrade to a 600hawk!
My buddy who rides bikes all summer got to throw a leg over it yesterday in a rockin Pow field and fell in love, had never heard the guy so excited when he pulled up after ripping up the field"OMFG this thing is the sickest machine Ive ever ridden in snow" was his exact quote, the effortless carving and for a lack of a better term"sidehilling" is phenominal.I put on about 75 miles yesterday myself, mix of tight trees, nasty hill climbs and trails.
We were all utterly amazed when half way up the tree climb I lost my line and had to stop halfway up the hill, but to everyones amazement(and my own) I turned the bars around the tree and hammered it-the damn hawk trenched to china and popped back up on top the snow and took me thru the trees to the top!
I'd LOVE to ride with some more hawkers-Tom,or anyone reading this,if you get to the UP or northern Wi lets hook up!
SHA-fairly good memory-It was I who had the proto isovibe made up and it works well-GripN'Rip racing sells them too! I love riding my M(8) with other 2skis though, riding the hawk is unfair to them as I cant carry enough fuel myself and I'm always losing them thru the tree climbs and boondocking.(We prefer to stick together)
Ride on!
