Viper Powder Bog.....HELP

Has anyone fixed theirViper Mountain powder bog? We were riding in about 4' of wet and it was brutal over and above the wet snow. As soon as snow would build up on the hood it would progressivly die in about a minute and I would be stuck. It does this in the fluff aswell but no where near as bad.
I have a MPI cold air intake (taped off all the leaky areas.) (snow was not getting to this area) Bender High altitude tripples, peak head etc.
Any help would be appreciated. I am gonna try and tape off a couple of the vents today and see it that helps?
Has anyone run the little K&N Boot filters and removed the air box completely?
Thanks in advance. J

I've tried the uni-filters and completely removed the airbox. It didn't work. It felt like I lost alot of power. I've tried all the tricks that I've read about, but still have problems when in deep powder. I have a polycarbonate hood and need to seal up the areas between the hood and the pod and see if that helps. Everytime it bogs, there is snow on top of the airbox, restricting the air to the engine. If I can keep the snow off the airbox, while still getting fresh air to the airbox, I'm confident that the problem will be solved. By the way. I bought a nytro mtx so let me know when/if you or a friend are inteseted in a killer big bore viper.

there is a big topic on this over at totallyamaha.com, seems there could be a problem with the snow coming in through the vents causing to cool down the pipes to quickly thus bogging it down. Im going out west in a couple weeks and ive done all the necessary precautions:

all the vents are covered with small window screen
the bottom vent is ductaped
the ram air vents have prefilters and are cut out inside to dump cool air
i drilled very small holes on the pod and put prefilter under neath those
all the leaks are filled with expandable foam
installed a exhaust deflector
also my pipes are ceramic coated

so in conclusion if none of this helps and gets rid of that nasty bog i give up!

Being too rich is a big contributer to this problem, lean it out and it goes away, the exhaust plugging with snow and the rich jetting are the culprits.

All I know is that everytime it bogs on me, I have to remove the hood to find that the airbox is covered with snow. I brush off the snow and it goes great until I get another chest full of snow. I've got a prefilter, as well as the stock foam on the airbox and I'm surprised at how much snow gets through the prefilter.

Hey Guys, thanks for the reply's. We had a big temparture drop on Sunday with another big dump of snow so the conditions changed.
As far a being rich, nope, I am way lean for the altitude almost worried about burning up if on the throttle too long. I think I may try and double the seal up on the top of the air box to get a better fit in the hood. The only positive was, everyone was having a bit of the same issue on Sunday, made me feel a bit better since I am the only yammi rider in my area, but I would have paid a guy to haul my Viper away on Satruday it was sooooo bad. Was gonna torch it, then remembered I didn't have any insurance. hahaha
Ryan I am way interested in your Viper. Have you tore your new sled down yet? or you gonna ride it stock for the season? Look me up.
Cheers J :beer;=:)
