Viper Motor Options

I just picked up an 03 Viper mountain in awesome shape for a great price with a bottom end thats toast, and I have an option to buy a 2001 VMAX 700 engine (2000 miles) , complete with cdi . Would it be much work to put it in , and whats the difference between the motors , power wise? , I know the vmax motor has no powervalves , but I have also heard its incredible reliable.

i dont think the bottom end is the same i think the viper and srx engine have a heavier crank, and bottom end berrings than a Vmax/ mtn max motors.
i dont see why it wouldent work though if u put the jugs and top end on from the viper.
power wise about 20 hp stock

Mountain Max motor is very different. An SRX motor will fit better, but pipes will need some massaging as the cylinders are slightly different.

Thanks Linc, that was kinda my question, weather the vmax motor was basicaly a MM motor.
