Not a '89, not a Indy - but 14 year old summit should be vintage. 151x16 track, bunch of other goodies, a little red button too! Still my weekend mistress.
My favorite sled on here! I dont know why...it just is!
SWEET olds sleds on here for sure!

do you have any more of that phazer
That's the kind of sled I'd love to see where a rider like burandt could get that thing into. Prolly make a lot of guys look silly.

Acually, when you think about it, they would be a pretty good mtn chassis, aside from being heavy! Big, flat bellypan, the front suspension doesn't drag and hang down, I think an old Phazer or Vmax with a cat twin in it would be a killer sled!![]()
I think there are lots of good sleds to start from, I chose the Phazer because I picked one up for $50! Junk! I thought about using an old Kawasaki, (much lighter), for a base but I didn't like how low the belly pan was. I think the biggest thing about the Phazer is that it is quite heavy, but a lot of weight can be gotten rid of by chopping off the front suspension, you really don't need suspension in the snow. The dry weight of the stock Phazer is about
440lb, I chopped off 80lb which makes the old 485 feel quite powerful.
