A couple of Vintage Exciters
Here are a set Vintage Exciters. 1979-1981. Unfortunately we never had enough snow this winter to get a new pic with all three snowmobiles together.
- The '81 (orange stripe) has 400 miles on it. All original.
- The '79 (red stripe) has 4000km but is original (except the windshield) and cleaner than the '81.
- The '80 (gold stripe) has been restored and not very well. It is a good 20 footer. This is the year that I had when I was a kid and has proven to be the hardest one to find in cherry condition.
It is a good time to blast across untracked fields and lakes back here in the flatlands of Indiana. I try to keep them off of trails though. Talk about no suspension, Wow!! Modern sleds have spoiled me. We would go ride these things all day when they were new and wonder how it could ever get better!!
