VIN info for Dodge trucks

Only the dealer will be able to look that up using the VIN. The vin will only tell you a few minor details like year/model/GVW/engine/build plant and serial number. but the dealer can punch the number in and should be able to look up the build sheet and get all the specifics.
If you want to find it out yourself, you would need to get the RPO codes off of the body code/rpo code tag.
On my 97 it has a RPO tag on the upper rad support and is supposed to also be under the passenger side seat. Im sure the location varies by year...
IIRC mine even has one on the under side of the hood...

look in the glove box, should be a sticker on the door for gear ratio, ls or open diff.... as for trans info? what year, engine, gvw??
Check out the Turbo Diesel Register, I think I recall seeing something on there about decoding VIN numbers or someone on that site should be able to help you.
