You have to buy and install the tether. Well worth the small expense and time.
So I dont want to make this a tether no tether thread but I dont see the point in a tether. I had one on my REV and used it for the first half of when I owned it. What I found was that when I had my tether connected and fell off on a hill the machine would shut down but then it took off down the hill like a bat out of hell. Good thing there was nothing in the way on the hill. The next time it happend I did not have the tether connected and fell off the sled the machines engine kept the sled at a nice slow pace all the way down to the bottom. So for me I would rather have the sled go down slowly then as fast as can be. I know throttles can stick and things can happen but i figure that is what insurrance is for I guess.
