video of my prob

I posted before on dootalk too but I'm having some issues. My sled will drop off and seems like its only operating on one cylinder on long climbs. one spark is brown one is wet and isn't hitting. i took it to the dealer and he seems to think it is a dpm issue but i think its weird that it would only affect one cylinder.

Sometimes it runs well other times it won't hardly idle. yesterday i rode hard on the flats with no issues but today during the climb it started again... someone suggested that it might be the spark wire resistor? what do you guys think

It takes a minute or two:

you can see and hear it drop off about 3/4 into the vid. it wont go above 7 on the tach...

I didn't watch the video, same issue on my Dads summit. After riding a while just wouldn't run right on one cyl. It was plug wires, once they heated up to much resistance in one wire. Cheap to check and easy to fix.
Hope it helps.

right on im thinking of trying that. how much do new wires cost?

Great idea! I have a similar issue on my KC! I've been chasing it for a couple of years. I'm going to video mine so that I can have a reference or proof that it's doing it. It's intermittent at best. I find it happen's mostly when I'm on and off the throttle. I've had guys tell me "that's the way those efi's are", but I rode my buddy's identical sled a couple weekends ago and his was fine. Infact it almost has a smoother throttle response to it. I was wondering if it was the tps or what ever the other switch that will make the motor cut out if the throttle cable freezes up. Anyway thanks for posting. I'm going to try that.

It's either a plug wire or a plug cap gone bad. I can hear it missing down on the bottom end. Here's a picture of my 06 plug cap with the rubber boot cut off. There's no resistor in the plug cap. The resistor is in the wire.
