Lots of untracked deep snow. As long as you kept moving it was manageable. Once you slowed down and got unsure of your next move getting stuck was almost inevitable. And the stucks were real real deep. Pretty fun though to see sleds stuck almost vertical. The snow was fairly heavy, not the normal Utah fluff... reminded me of my days in the NW. Great day....

Nice video. We were out in the Soapstone area yesterday also! You described it well. Only difference from your video is that we had 3 of 4 stuck at one time!! And they were very stuck in this snow. It was a blast while you were on top though. I think I worked my sled harder yesterday than any previous day of riding - lot of full throttle riding to keep moving.

Yeah... There were 3 in our group. I kept telling myself if the 2 others are stuck do whatever you can not to become the 3rd stuck or everyone is on there own. One of the other 3 being my wife who more or less relies on my help to get unstuck :-) here's a good pic...

Whoaaa!

So this is what I've been waiting on all winter. I ride an old mountain max 700 with a 136" 1.75 track. Would I be crazy to even pull it off the trailer and try? Or would I spend all day digging and potentially get it stuck so bad I couldn't get back to the truck? For what it's worth I'm riding with my bro and he is on a '11 etec 800 with a 154".

That had to hurt. I'm sure you were thinking what the heck just happened as you were digging yourself out of the snow

Oh I knew exactly what I had hit as I was flying through the air. I have seen that fence there many times I just completely forgot about it as it was covered. Lets just say my sled fared better than I did. LOL. My right leg still hurts like a mother. I still rode the rest of the day but it was hard to ride. I could not walk up and down the stairs the next day. I am at least able to walk up the stairs now. :face-icon-small-hap

Those were all pretty sweet.
The a arm does not look that bad, it is amazing with that much snow land mines still exist.
Heal up to ride another day.:face-icon-small-ton
