vick

hope my team puts him to good use. it could be a great signing or a really bad one. probably could of used a top reciever more though

They're saying he will miss 6 regular season games. Likes like getting a snowmobile for March-May.

"does he deserve to be back? Has he done the time make ammends for his actions?"

I realize that he may be very talented, but so are the many guys that decide to get a job after college instead of play sports. I am a believer in all sports that if you commit a felony, then you are done in pro sports. If this were the case, most guys would not take a chance. It would also allow more good upstanding players to take the field that qualify to be role models.

Just my thoughts.

i understand what your saying and i may agree but i think he got hit hard for that when other player did things that are as bad or worse and got much less punishment

Dogfighting is dispicable, but so is murder, Ray Lewis killed a guy and tell me how much time he spent in prison?

Ray Lewis was super bowl xxxv MVP, played for the ravens, he was arrested for assult and murder, plead guilty to a lesser charge of obstruction of justice. He was sentenced to one year of probation and fined 250,000 by the NFL.

why the government doesn't run sports...if a league wants to allow felons then so be it. They are a business and they can hire who they want. Should felons just not be allowed to work?

I don't really care for him. But his crime wasn't half as bad as others in pro sports that don't even get half the attention. Let him play, he did his time, just as a regular citizen would

Vick gets 2 yrs in jail for dog fighting

Donte Stallworte gets 6 months for getting sh*t housed and killing a human in his car

?????????

6 months? He spent 24 DAYS in freaking jail, 24 DAYS

and the NFL gave him a 1 year suspension, how is it the NFL hits him harder than the courts?

I'm not a Vick fan, but he did his time. Let the guy do the only thing he knows how to do. Play football. Like other people have said, there's been allot worse crimes by other players, and there still playing. If they kicked out everybody who's commited a felony, the Dallas Cowboys would have lost there whole team back in the 90's. :D

On a side note, I think it's a great pickup for the Eagles. If they start running the Wildcat formation with Vick, that could mean trouble for any defense. It will be fun to watch for sure.

Exactly.

What Vick was involved in was pretty damn rotten, but give the guy a friggen break. It's almost alarming how much people devalue a human life.

But imagine the risk that the Eagles are taking on him.
Can you guess what the animal lover groups like PETA are going to be doing in front of every stadium Vick plays in from now on?
('till it's not important to them anymore kind of like the war in Iraq)
When you take your kid to a game that he's playing in you'll have to run the gauntlet of the protesters in front of the gates.

I agree, he did SOME time, probably not enough but the drunk murderers have done waaaay worse than what he did.

I'm the biggest dog lover out here. But he did do time and he will continue to suffer through the press and people. Do you guys have any idea how much money he has lost? I'm not feeling bad for him, but I'm saying that he was ruined by doing what he did. He is suffering. Him coming back to the league has no guarentees. He still has to show that after two years he still has something left and can play at the NFL level.

As for the other guys who get away with murder (literally)...that is just sad that our system allows for that.
