Vibration by feet

I have had vibration by my feet when sled under heavy load, also have been blowing belts suddenly, last time belt blew I moved my secondary by hand and bearing behind was squeaking. Anyone know what could cause this vibration?

Could be the bolts holding your helix in the secondary clutch, had that problem b4, or just a bad belt, or berring like what was said b4.

i had a vibration by my feet...then put my ear close to it...then put my hand on it...

so then i concluded i had the vibration by my feet/head/hand and now im confused

Probably the bearing behind the secondary. The heat has probably melted the grease out of it. Get some grease in there or replace the bearing before your shaft breaks.

chaincase

if iy feels like youre trackratcheting and is only under heavy loas its either youre track ratcheting or youre chain case 99 /100 says its youre chain case open it up its easy you dont even have to take the bolts outta the engine oil tank just the ones that connect chain case to the sled once you get in there you will be able to tell pretty quick if its the problem rounded teeth brroken chain lotsa filings its pretty simpl job i did it on the side of the mountain in 15 min with torx and a flat head screwdriver

Chain case

There should be 12 to 15 bolts connecting the actual outer chain case to the frame of the sled yes you will lose you're oil I was way back in a bad spot and had two options pull chain case and repair or heli out. Turned out to be snapped jack shaft so no repairing anyway was gonna ride out on buddies extra 2 stroke oil to get back to the trailer for diagnostic purposes you can do it with the engine oil tank connected and you won't lose you're motor oil. It's really not a big job to check.

My vote is it is in the chaincase.

Mine was ratcheting at slow speed and heavy load. Was hard to tell which side it was coming from. In the end I had a problem in my chaincase. Have to replace both chains and all 4 sprockets.
If you pull your reverse actuator out where you fill your oil, you can see at least one of the chains with a flashlight. I could see damage to the chain from there. Should take you about 5 min. to do this. I also noticed out of the sunlight, that if you put a flashlight up to the sight glass you could see metallic flake in the oil.
Best of luck to you.

I had the same problem. My dealer said to tighten the track. I did and the problem continued. They said to run it until it got worse. I did until oil started leaking from the chain case. The problem turned out to be the chain tensioner which finally took out the entire chain case. Parts were all on back order with Cat. The dealer got all parts in after 4 weeks except for the chain tensioner. ( Gee I wonder why no chain tensioners available! Because of all the failures? Hmmmm ) Into the 5th week of being on back order and I said enough is enough. I got my dealer to swap out the cat parts for C3 syncrodrive powersports belt drive, about the same price of cats chain case. They use needle bearings in the jack shaft. My Dealer said that there is no wiggle in the secondary and that it should help out the issue of blowing drive belts. I am hoping to stop blowing belts. I already went to Racin Station fix with team tied secondary fix to little avail.

Another benefit with the CR belt drive. You can get lower gear ratio, 2.52 ( 25 tooth on top and 63 on bottom ) that also puts less heat into the secondary. Same gearing that Cat is comming out with for the fix for blowing belts. ( ie 2.50 ratio 20 tooth on top with 50 on the bottom, stock ratio is 2.38 21 tooth and 49 tooth on bottom ) . You also loose 8 lbs rotating mass and 11 lbs overall. sweet! They claim a belt life of 10,000 miles on thier syncroDrive. Gee I sound like a salesman. Where is my commission?

It's your jackshaft flexing under load and when you do some boondocking in the powder you will really feel it in you feet and long with that the secondary is out of alignment along with the TCL that also is flexing and then takes out your belt. Your chain is also thrashing around too and is going to eventually take the gears and chain too.
