They look kind of gay to me. That being said, I think you should get a pair!:biggrin1::thumb:

Did you get more hemmoroid creme yet?

How come, when the doc said, you gotta use gloves...you smiled and said "Nah, I never use gloves. I like the real feel".

You're on your third tube now right?

By the looks of your avatar xrated your in no place to be calling anyone gay LOL J/K:boink:

I saw a guy wearing them yesterday at the gymn. He was sparring with them on. He felt like they gave him more control and caused less fatigue. He said it was his first day wearing them and that the traction was amazing.

In short he really liked them.

There are several models to choose froma nd his were the all around model. I think he paid $75.

I haven't worn them, but know many Marines and Sailors who do. I get beat on a weekly basis in 10k's by a Coastie who wears them (last week was 36 mins for him, 45 for me).

From the people I know who wear them:

They take a while to get used to. You aren't going to go out and run 5 miles the first week. Your feet WILL fatigue faster at first. As you learn to run in them, your feet will adapt. I know one guy who does half-marathons in them, but not full marathons. Says he can't get his feet to stay healthy in them past about 15 miles.

They make you run on your toes more, like you're supposed to. It takes different muscles to run in them than with regular shoes. Supposed to be less problems with stress fractures, but who knows...

They are the "updated" way to barefoot-run. I've never tried it except on a treadmill and my feet/legs were DEAD after 1/2 mile. I need good running shoes with arch support or it kills my shins (not shin-splints...stress fractures in the bones)...hence I haven't tried the 5 Fingers. Maybe they'd make me run different and it'd be ok...can't really risk it though as if I go med-down, who knows what they'll do to me.

All-in-all, the guys I've seen wearing them weren't gay, and even if they were I couldn't catch 'em to make fun of them anyway... :P

What do they say about dudes who use the word "touche"?

Yer feet are s'pozed to be nekked inside them things.

They say those dudes only know so many "big" words and use them to impress internets peoples.

Oh. I thought it was because of some skinny ginger wearing a pink hat, sitting cross-legged with a peace sign. LOL

The model with the shoe laces is STUPID. LOL

Turns out these fivefingers are hard to get.

Backorders are 2 months out.

Color selections aren't too good.

BUT, I tried some on and picked out a pair to wear.
Wore them to the lake yesterday and got about 3 or 4 hours on my feet with them. Not bad at all. They feel like watershoes...but muuuuuuuuuch better.

My calves are a little tight today. LOL. Teaches you not to walk on your heels.
Ya gotta learn to press with your balls of your feet and walk more forward...taking shorter steps to accomplish this.

Wore them on the treadmill this morning for aobut 15 mins. They did just fine. Supports that notion that you shouldn't buy thick sole shoes for toddlers and kids. They need to learn how to walk properly...which we've been hearing for a while now. We buy our kids thin sole shoes as often as we can.

You do want to ease into them. Don't be on your feet for too much at a time...a couple hours.

They hvae a 90 satisfaction on them. We'll find out how they hold out this summer. I'll bet you don't find me wearing much more on the feet than those. LOL

Seems like there would be more nasty crud growing in these sweat soaked things than in a whore's puss.

I would want to wash them daily, especially if used for working out.
Would they hold up to that?
