Vi-Pec hm turbo rmk on groom trail.

Wouldn't the stock egt sensor in the pipe read quite a bit lower than what the normal add-on egt would because of their location? (4" from piston or something like that?) I have no idea how much different, but maybe that is why precision is seeing different temps then what most have experienced in the past.

that is exactly what it is.

And Turbo Matt, shame on you for wanting some actual information about a product before considering purchase, I mean it's only $2500 throw it down so you can video it yourself. (This is sarcasm fyi!)

:tape:...

I'm confused:What is exactly what what is? Are they temps you read in the stock pipe the same or different than an add on Koso? I would be very surprised to hear they were the same, its gotta be at least 200 deg cooler.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, for once.:face-icon-small-sho . I'm seriously asking about your product.

I still haven't gotten an answer back on this.... I PM'ed multiple Vipec dealers and no one answered me back. I'm going assume this means that none of them have run a Vipec with an actual EGT gauge?

Also, I want to somewhat alter my original EGT #'s that I gave. The #'s I posted a couple posts back were at 1200ft elevation.
I'm up in the Big Horns currently and going down the trail at 40-50mph my sled runs at 1320deg if I hold it steady for a minute straight.(I don't make a normal habbit of doing this, but I was curious). This temp is much better easier to deal with. I'd love to see personally what a stock sled will run at going down the trail. Would be very interesting.

The stock egt typically reads around 1000f where it,s placed in the middle of the pipe during wot pulls. You would see egt in the y-pipe like 1200 and more on the same pull. Its not a guess, I've been logging ecu data during dyno pulls on my own sled.

Edit, did not realize this was the poo section. My sled is a cat, but you should see similar difference in a poo swell.

ain't a big deal, not the same pin out on the connectors...means it is not plug and play but can be done.

Ok. Gino I spoke to you last year when I was ready to purchase a ecu. you told me, I should wait until one of you guys did a cfi 4. Am I the only one that wants a better option for the older sleds? If it can be done then what do I have to do to make it happen?
