VES Adjustment?

Is there any performance gain if the valves are left closed longer or have then open sooner? Sled has yellow springs and runs good, just reading my repair manual and noticed all the spring choices and started to wonder?

I put SLP yellow springs in and for $20 of what looked like a couple of springs off of a ball point pin, the difference was actually quite noticeable. The stock springs are too stiff and don't allow the valves to open early enough robbing you of mid-range power.

I would replace them with a new pair of the SLP yellows. Cheap and easy maintenance which actually works.
