Very deep snow bog

4 12' Rmk's today in literally chest deep snow. Very hard to get around but we managed. However, all 4 of us had intermittent bogging. Yes the intakes were fully covered with powder but it just didn't seem like it made any difference if they were cleaned off or not. Only other thing we could think of is exhaust bog....so deep that it didn't matter if you were sidehilling or on the level, just going 2mph WOT. Seemed like if we kept our weight back and got the front to launch up every now and then it didn't do it as often. Anyone have any experience with this?

Any after market cans keep this from happening? Sure wish we had a tunnel dump instead.

add about an inch on the exhaust deflector and see if that doesnt fix it..also the intakes will cause a bog as well..I run a single flowrite in the back of the upper main airbox, which i just cover with a peice of ducttape until the deep days, remove tape and she pulls air from between the airboxand fuel tank..has worked great.......

In those conditions exhaust comes in from around the can exit so you have to seal it off with black silicone sealer. The exhaust gas does get picked up by the intake (thru the cracks) and displaces oxygen = bog. Silicone sealer was a trick I learned from the guys at SLP.

Have FUN!

I had deep pow exhaust bogs as well. I did exactly this with black RTV silicone and haven't had a bog since. The stock rubber donut on mine you could see day light all the way around it before I sealed it up.

Also make sure all sleds have their throttle cable tension set to spec.
