Venting

So I have been wondering if anyone has done extra venting on their Wedge's? If so post some pictures up and what products or how you did it. it just seems like the front vents are good but might need some more. Let me know what you think and like I said pictures are awesome for a garage builder like myself. :camera:

venting

I don't have any pictures but we always put one in the belly pan below the rail right next to the clutches and can. Trying to clear the heat off those 2 sources. We used a stock Polaris louvered vent but I don't think they are available any more. Look around and maybe one of the Edge side panel kits will work. I have gone to Home Depot and bought the leaf guard material for rain gutters and made screens before. They have some stuff that is metal and has round holes in it so it's smooth. You will have to invent something for a frame. I painted mine black too. Plastic stuff may melt so look for metal.

So your saying do a vent on the can side and on the clutch side and they will be the two best places? I like fabbing stuff up so thats no problem does anyone think that the hood needs anymore venting?

Yes, seemed to work well for us, didn't add any to the hood. We worked on the idea that flow needed to be improved. Seems like plenty of air would come in but no where to exit. Also helps your right foot frome getting cooked.

Use the vents that were stock in the Indy trail fan cooled sleds. Mounted upside down on the clutch side. They go in the tub, not in the hood. They worked very well and kept snow out as well. If you can't get them from Poo anymore, I know slp used to stock them as did Dennis Kirk.com

I got this done last night. Not perfect but for a garage project I think it turned out pretty good.

Well I cant figure out how to post the picture.
