Venting

I'm thinking about venting my 07 Apex and am curious what kind of experiences people have had doing them their selves, what brand people recommend and what kind of improvement if any it made. I was looking at the Timbersled vent kit as of now. I have also heard that venting a 4-stroke isn't as necessary as a 2 stroke, is there any truth to that? I would think it would help at least on the clutch side to keep it cooler. This is my first 4 stroke so you'll have to excuse the ignorance.

vent kits

Yes lots of guys run them with good results. XXXModrods.com has a cheap kit but I prefer TS or R&M lightening products vents.

^^^^ X2...2 cool vents on my Apex and I love them. Rode all last season and they still look new. Wife is now getting a set on her Apex with some logo's on them.
As for for 4 strokes... I still think there is a benefit to venting 4 strokes. Heat is a killer for all sleds.
