I got my trail tech vapor installed. This thing is the bomb!. for a 100 bucks we have a double tach with shift point light and over rev indicator lite. Speedo with odometer. The water temp sensor threads right into the thermostat housing so no need to splice any hoses. anyway it should be worth the investment for every hawk rider to keep up on what your hawk is doing.

WOW, I gotta get me one of those!

I just searched them on ebay and seems there are only Vapor's for sport quads on there.

Did you buy one for the Snowhawk or is there a universal snowmobile Vapor?

Hey mike no snow stand tested and ready to trade if up to me but waiting for bro to call me. I can get you a vapor too everything bolts right on except for speedo sensor had to make mount for that but was easy if you have a few tools..

Thank you goodspeed you inspired me to get one to try. I am very happy about my decision. I will take some pics of what you want. Later

Hey J & L, where did you hook up the power wire for the Vapor???

-Also what settings did you use?

I'm hooking mine up right now and am curious how mine match with yours....

just wanted to resurface for anyone who did not see this cool unit.

Don't let your hawks perform poorly get a gauge so you can have data to work from.

Sorry

I kinda put off the pics. We had a good showing of the hawks and explorer at the supercross races this weekend, lots of interest but once again no snow. On a bad note someone stole my cool gas vent and the tranny in our tahoe took a dump so very expensive weekend.

vapor

I have mine mounted. I will try and get some picts. on here. I don't have it hooked up yet though.

Ok I saw you hooked up power to grip heater wires.

You said the water temp. screws right into the head. I must have to take it out of the inline fitting and screw it In?

How did you do the tach? did you just wrap the wires around plug wire? How many wraps? do we have to strip the wire? And where Did you connect the black wire?

What numbers did you put in for the speedo?

Thanks for the Help!

Les is great to deal with. He has helped me out alot.

temp sensor screws into thermostat housing (remove from supplied fitting)
just wrap the tach wire around the plug wire 5 times or so and zip tie the ends together. ground the black wire to the engine block, drill a small hole in the tab on front of engine between 2 cylinders
Skip is testing the speedo with his gps so waiting for him to give # to used to setup speedo
Thanks all
