Yes it's the 16th-18th of April.
I would sug. being there a early for parking. As for a 4m ride it's in the works. several people are involved with planning dates so it would be a good turnout.

I know it's a trip, but during the hillclimb it's hard for some of us locals to break free for 4m rides. Last year we had it in Feb.. That way we all can participate. and give tours!
I liked I alot better in Feb, The hill climb is hard for alot of people to make with Arctic Man the weekend before. JMO
Just to be clear. The Hillclimb WILL be in April. 4m ride could be taken another time..
If you have never been to the hillclimb you don't know what you are missing.
Hey Tim...just an FYI...the Alyeska dates are NOT set yet.

Yah what's up with that? How are you supposed to plan anything.
In a nutshell, The resort waits to give us a date once they can judge when they are going to shut down the mountain to skiing for the season. The race is generally once they shut down the runs for skiing. I agree, it makes it hard to plan, but, it makes good bussiness sense. just an fyi, seems like it is generally the last weekend of april. So often we have to choose between on last ride in the mtns here since they close april 31st, or go watch someone else ride. I have yet to make it to Aleyska. If the sun is shining, it's a no brainer, I am going riding one alst time for the year!!! If it is raining sideways, well, why would I wnat to stand out in that to watch Dougie crash down the hil AGAIN!!!
Someday I will make it to the races at Alyeska. Valdez was a ball when I was there. I wish it was still the weekend BEFORE Arcticman like it used to be. Take in the races, then convoy up the road and party up there, then home. All in one week of vacation instead of the 2 weeks it takes as it is set up now days.Just in from Joe in Valdez......confirmed date!
