They are not National Champs. Mountain West was strong this year, but nothing compared to the Big 12 and SEC.

Why the f*ck does everyone have to compare the Mountain west to the Big 12 and SEC? honestly......Mountain West will take home 3 bowls, and still the only undefeated team.......can anyone in the Big 12 and SEC say the same?

Another good reason to have college playoffs.

Then all of us armchair keyboard chest thumpers will know just where "our" team really stands.

Utah just DOMINATED a team that was ranked #1 for 5-6 weeks. Utah is 3-0 against current ranked teams and won at Oregon State (same team that beat USC).

With that said, did I think Utah had a "chance" in this game? Hell no. But they proved to the country last night that they are legit.

Another reason for a playoff system.

The Utes just dominated a team that was 1 in the rankings for 5 weeks of the season, they beat oregon who thumped USC, went 13-0, and in case people missed TCU this year that is a heck of a legit team also out of the mountain west. BYU was even decent this year ( looked like crap in their bowl though). Last time I checked 13-0 is 13-0 and they did it against some big teams. The BCS is a joke nothing but a bunch of schools that think they are the best so they set it up so teams from other conferences won't be considered for a title game.

Great game Utes!!!

I can't seem to forget the 1984 BYU team who BARELY beat a Michigan team in the Holiday bowl That our Dawgs beat like a drum in game 1 of that season, but had a hiccup against Elway and Stanford later in the season, But took out the Sooners in the Orange bowl fairly handily.

Last Poll of the year.... BYU no losses #1
U W 1 loss #2

Now who is REALLY #1 this year? History says UTAH!!
