Really getting to know the area

We set out Saturday with a hike in mind and a Geocache to find. Well I didn't study google earth well enough and went the hard, longer way. We had to turn back and will have to approach the cache in a different direction some other time. The GPS logged our 9.7 mile hike. Poor kids! Our daughter did fantastic, but our son had a hard time after we told him the geocache was on the other side of that tallest, rocky mountain. Then the hub spotted a family of mountain goats. That made the trip along with all the scenery worth every step for all of us. Here are some pictures.

And the goat family. What amazing animals to watch!!!

Yes. One of our hikes we took the poles for the kids. They caught fish at every stop,
