soon as the snow stabilizes i want to come ride with you and wes!did some phenomenal boondocking off knobblets... also found a sizable cliff to huck myself off

Me & the Mrs. have thought about going since we got the flyer from the Brewvies gig. We are still on the fence. (although it says registration closes 1/25 so it may be a mute point)
How will the ride work? Will there be a group ride to the top and then playing, watching the pros huck off cliffs? Avy training? Lot of "watch this" stuff ? Where will the group go? We're not fans of follow-the-leader guided trips but am curious, esp if Avy traiing is involved.
Any more info would be appreciated.

first off just call them... the registration was for the dinner/auction so they know how many mouths to feed. Even if you dont want to do that, please come and donate $20 to the avalanche foundation, and enjoy a ride.
i dont think anyone wants to watch us huck a cliff...
but if conditions and weather permits, i would be happy to... watching wes little on a propane turbo apex might be something more appealing!!!last year there was so many people we all split into little groups and went different ways and met up at some cabin for a picture. this year we are supposed to meet at tower mountain at noon. Some groups will come from strawberry visitors center, others from heber, and others from knobblets. you dont have to stay long if you dont want to. ride info http://www.avarides.com/ride-schedule/

Just found out that Matt Entz from Wolf Creek CO and I will be there also.....thanks for the heads up Dan! I was hoping I would'nt have to eat pop tarts and tater chips for dinner on Saturday!! Will see you guys soon.
it went about 100 feet down and the softest landing ever... started a small slide on impact but i had so much speed i out ran it!!!
the avy ride was a big success, thanks to all those who put so much time and effort into making it the big success it was!!!
probably not... i will be lucky if i see them, though i would bet they end up in sledheads sometime soon though...
Phatty, you forgot to mention that you squealed like a little girl after the landing!! Just kidding, it was awesome and folks will just have to anny up for BOONDOCKERS 5 to see it.
