Utah Avalanche Center Ride

With all the slides this season this is a good way to get educated
and help out all while enjoying a good ride!
The ride is on saturday February 2nd at Strawberry.
Craig Gordon with the Utah Avalanche Center will be demonstrating avalanche safety, what to look for, what items to carry with you and how to use them.
Boondockers and Thunderstruck will also be doing their Crazy Stuff!
So make sure you make it to Tower Mountain at noon for all the action.
The Dinner will start at 5:00P.M with a small mod show, and a live auction.

No way, if they can sticky forum rides, poker runs, and drag races, then they can sticky a ride that all proceeds go to the avalanche organization that saves lives...

Sticky this thing to the top and lets get some riders out to benefit the Utah Avalanche Center

On a side note - you need to pm big d to get it locked... I have sent a pm to get this done.

Sorry for not sticking this sooner. I hadn't read it. Thanks to Verticaledge for the PM. In the future if you have a worthy cause, just pm me and I'll stick it, err, stick the thread to the top. :)

You can also make it to tower mountain from nobletts parking lot if you go up mirror lake. Its a great ride

are you sure?? nobletts to tower via MLH would be going in the opposite direction.

I'm still new to the area but I thought, from Nobletts, you took a right toward Mill Hollow (just a few miles out of the parking lot) down past Duchesne Ridge and then a left towards Strawberry to Tower Mtn. I've only been to these areas once but it's all pretty well marked (not to mention groomed).

if you were coming in from Mirror Lake Highway, you'd go down through Soapstone, over Soapstone Pass, a right towards Nobletts but instead of going all the way to the parking lot, you'd hang a left to Mill Hollow.

is there another way from MLH with some boondocking involved??

There is not a way to Tower from the MLH once you go past the Soapstone campground. I would park at Nobletts if you are looking to Boondock out to Tower.

I'm looking forward to the ride, its a great chance for the sledding community to rally around a good cause.
