Using 07' Switchback arms & spindles, good?

I wrecked the RH arms on my 05' and my brother has a full set (RH & LH) of 07' Switchback arms & spindles I can have for free. Should I put that stuff on or should i get 05' replacements. I'm not out to spend on aftermarket stuff right now.

Pro's & Con's?

Thank you!

Ya, you can use them. I would recommend switching out the entire set though as the 05 setup does have an ever so slight difference in the geometry that could cause issues if you mix and match the 05 with 06 and later parts.:beer;

Ya, that was the plan, use all the 07' arms. With the 07' spindles, is this considered a slight upgrade?

For handling, you're not going to feel any difference on the arms... the 06-07 spindles should be a slight improvement, but the best thing would be to get some 08 or newer spindles... better geometry, tighter turning radius, and less effort.

I don't know about the 07 models, but in 06 the Switchback shared suspension with the Fusion. They had a much wider control arm. If the difference is still present in 07 you will have to have Switchback steering rods to match.
Food for thought.

Actually, you would notice a little different handling as the Switchback a-arm's are wider than 05 or 06 RMK a-arm's. If you use them, you will need to use the radius rods as well. Spindles would be an upgrade.

Thanks for all the info. It clinches me trying to get RH 05' a-arms, instead of switching to 07'. I will still use the 07' spindles. Should be a nice upgrade with the Gripper skis I have not yet put on.

When I compared the Grippers to Powder pros, you can see that the grippers set way forward. This should make the sled steer quicker and easier so just putting grippers on a 900 should make a big difference.

Yup, Grippers rock. Right up there with the 225# spring for favorite changes on my 900.
