Use narrower -010 belt in place of -020?

I have an extra -010 belt but my 2001 Mountain Cat 600 EFI uses a 0627-020 belt. I haven't been able to get another -020 yet and the shops will be closed this weekend. Would it be OK to use the -010 for one day of riding? The difference in the belts is just the width, the -010 is narrower by I think 1/32" or so???

I am not too concerned with losing performance, I just want to be sure it won't be causing any premature wear or anything on the drivetrain/clutch, etc

I have before on my 900. No big deal you might loose a few R's and have a little harder engagement. I think I still have a 010 for a spare belt on my 900 right now. It will get me off the mountain some day.

Just an update if anyone is interested...

What Rixster said was exactly right. I used the belt for about a 30 mile ride, mostly trails with the wife. It did have a bit harsher engagement and a little more "floating" of the RPMs at certain speeds/throttle input. But for the most part it wasn't much different than the proper -020 belt (which when I measured my worn out belt was almost the same as the -010 anyway). So as a spare/backup belt, I think there is really no problem running this if necessary.

010 belt

You can also take one washer out of the secondary behind the spring and it will then run as if you were running an 020 belt. Just fyi.
