Interesting thing is My dealer just called me Apparentely the Yami rep called him to let him know of this post. So if enough of us go south maybe Yami Canada will be forced to come around, seeing as they are watching![]()
It took this post to see the differenceMy buddy just bought a apex and payed over $12000 and its April look in swap meet at what Dustin is selling a apex for out the door. Thats half the turbo that he wants. I think the price diff once again srews us Canadians when we want to sell our used sleds. And as far as it goes for the yamaha guys watching they have someone reading this stuff from the forums straight time these forums are a main source of feed back for them.
We gave them a year to correct pricing, i always want to support locals, and last yr i did costing me an extra 2 g's. I wont be doing that again, 2 g's is alot of money, thats alot of trips to Revy for this kid.
Unless i hear the Yamaha tooth fairy is dropping me 2k under my pillow, i'll be buying from the brothers to the south.
Bought a Nytro south of the border this year. All costs included (RIV, GST, exhange, cover, belt, travel expenses etc..) the sled ended up costing about $9700. The prices around here are still asking 11500 + tax, cover, belt etc.., so I'm thinking I saved a fair bit more than 2Gs on the purchase. Although Yamaha should be happy cause if I hadn't bought the nytro south of the border I was going to by an M8 up here.
what is the riv cost, you pay taxes even if you buy in canada
