Then you have some representatives using "scare tactics" trying to say it will put guns in the hands of mentally ill and felons. HUH?? The only ones abiding by the stupid gun laws were the law abiding citizens the criminals already have guns regardless of the laws!Not all but the #'s prove what Ollie says. % wise the Libs are agenst guns WAY more then the other side. I believe you know this already though.

we need someone up there that will state that point. if the mentally ill and felons are going to have them, I want to be able to give em some lead back if I ever had too.
I call my rep on a lot of issues, i just wish more people would also. I would love for them to be complaining that the phones won't ever stop ringing. Plus i think they need to hear more from the people that are the "boss" of them.
Exactly! Sad thing is we are the SILENT majority. Im guilty of it myself its time to do more thats for sure. People should be scared that there was ever a gun ban in the USA to begin with if you ask me. Sit back and do nothing and the government will take even more out of our control.

I have done a lot of phone calling on land issues and such. I was talking to Musgrave (sp?) on the phone and she said for every call they get they automatically assume there are 1000 people that feel the same way, but don't call.
That is why the illigal alien amnesty went down in flames. 10's of thousands of calls came into washington and it scared the dog chit outta them.
We need the same thing on other issues.
as an fyi - Mark Kirk has been a fairly staunch conservative on the north shore of chicago... i believe he is putting his name on this bill because of the increasingly left wing demographic... he has faced a guy named dan seals in 3 straight elections and won, however, each cycle the vote is getting closer and closer... imho, he thinks this bill won't make it out of committee and is only putting his name on it to shore up some of the moderate democratic vote in his district... kind of a political posturing thing to stay on top of his perennial challenger...
if that is NOT the case, and I'd be frankly shocked if it wasn't, he better GTF out of office... doing chit like that is definitely not gonna help him stay in office...
