got a 2012 SBA 144" anyone got any reviews or opinions on dropping a tooth on the upper sprocket?

Tons of like new oem gears on eBay. That's where I get mine. There's a lot of people changing gearing all the time, so there's tons of slightly used gears out there

If you drop one on the top then go up one on the bottom, you can use the same chain.
I did that last year with the 1.3 cobra track. Worked great!

If I drop a tooth on the top gear and leave the bottom the same, can I still use the same chain? Sorry if its a stupid question but I have never played with the gearing before. Thanks!

Yeah 1 tooth drop, should be fine with the stock chain.

I went with the 19-43 combo. Chain fit nice and still hits 90 mph. What I find nice is its not working going slow in the powder, easier on the belt. And mines a 14 sba with the 2" track.

As long as the number of gear teeth add up the same... the Same chain will work, and you usually get a -or+1 tooth allowance
Example
23+39= 62 teeth
21+41= 62
19+43= 62
The Same chain will fit all these combo's
