from what I understand someone telling me the numbers don't auctually reflect the real % of unemployed people

it only shows those who are recently laid off and collecting unemployment, once they run out of unemployment or go on welfare they are no longer counted in the "unemployment" %'s

Talking heads are saying actual numbers is closer to 16.4%.
