i was ready to open the hood and rip everything out till i saw it was a glued then decided to wait gonna be a job i can tell

removed all insulation & air ducting when i added timberland air.(wraped elec. wires with reflective silver tape)less weight & more venting options.
I highly suggest that in addition to pulling out foam and adding heat tape, that you add at least side vents to help cool. I also added dash vents and a hood vent in the middle.so I was out in shop working on my 08m8 last night as I just put the Slp kit in my sled..so I got to thinking about the insulation under the hood!!
do any of you take it out??must help with cooling?was thinking it might help with weight also..
Did you add an aftermarket intake or something? If so, just use some good heat tape and tape it right against the hood. If your stock intake is still intact, just heat tape it real good to the side of the intake tunnel.This is along the same topic, so I won't start a new one...
After removing the insulation and intake ducting, how do you hold the wiring to the hood so it doesn't flop on top of the pipe??
