Does anybody have any pictures of a bag mounted under the hood of a rev that would hold a pair of goggles? people have talked about a bag from WPS, but I have never seen one mounted.

Thanks for the help!!

Ok, heres what I have. I bought a bag just like this for a wheeler from sportsmans warehouse for $20.

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0035735521867a&navCount=1&podId=0035735&parentId=cat601649&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21412-cat601649&catalogCode=IJ&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601649&hasJS=true

The sides are kind of firm and padded. I cut the top one off and waterproofed it pretty good. I had already moved the ecm, so I put it here. I also dont have a headlight, so Im not sure it would fit if you did. Since I am running an extra set of handwarmers on an aluminum plate (to make up for the headlight load) I used that to heat the underside of the bag. It gets plenty warm in there to dry off goggles and keep some water from freezing. The top flap folds over and any snow melt just falls off the front, keeping the insides dry.

I have the bigger bag on the tunnel, and the little water bottle holder sits on my airbox, keeping my gps nice and safe and warm.

Any other questions?

Joe

Thanks for the pic! I'm going to have to built something like this. It would be nice to keep a spare pair of goggles warm.

I may give the cat one a try and mount it to the underside of the hood. I’ve also thought of buying a 2nd 3 watt heater element for my heated riser bag and see if that will de-ice a pair of goggles. I have an SDI so I can’t mount anything on the cross rail below the headlight. I would think a holder under the hood would get warmer then the heated riser bag, but for $20 it may be worth a try.

You'll notice that there is quite a lot of room under the empty gauge hole if you look from your can side.....I am working on making the empty gauge cover removable and have put a piece of plasic in there as a place for spare gloves/goggles. A lot of heat comes up out of there since it is the highest area of the body.

Are you talking about where the temp/fuel gauge would be? I have to pull my console this weekend to try and move my DESS cord mount and install my temp gauge. I will have to look at this idea a little more. I just wonder if it would be hot enough to melt ice off a pair of goggles.
