Um Really!?!?!?!

So I bop into Casey’s this morning to pick up a cup of coffee on my way to work. Its 7:45 when I walk in the door and I have to be at work by 8. OK… I don’t have a boss breathing down my neck, I could show up at 8:15 and no one would care, but I have a lot to get done and I want to get out of here in 8 hours and head to the gym to work out a bit before I have to pick up the kids…an extra 10 or 15 minutes doesn’t sound like much but I hate to keep the kids at daycare any longer than need be. So I hop in my truck and start to drive off when a guy with a car that won’t start at the pumps waves me down. He ask if I have a set of jumper cables, I reply I do not, which is true because I borrowed mine out last week and haven’t got them back yet. He already has a guy in a minivan trying to jump him but the cables they are using look like a $3.99 special at Wal-Mart. He then asks me if I have some time, I assume because he wants me to sit there for 10 minutes revving my truck to the moon to try and charge his battery. I look at the clock and its 7:50 and I still have 10-15 minutes of driving so I will already be late. I say “Sorry I don’t, I have to be at work by 8 I will already be late”. He comes back and says “Ya I’m gonna be late too, f*ck you, thanks for your f*cking help!” It took a few seconds to let it all soak in, but after about 5 seconds I realized this guy just told me to f*ck off because his car won’t start. I was about ready to get out of my truck and beat is dumb, lippy, ***, but it’s cold and I don’t want to spend the holidays in jail. So I just gave it right back and said “F*ck you dude, its not my fault your battery is a POS, f*ck you I hope your fingers freeze and fall off”. Now that I think about it, all I did is stoop down to his level. I now really wish I would have got out and beat some politeness into him. Seriously what type of person are you to get pissed at someone because they cannot help you? Here is the kicker, he was driving a newer Denali with custom plates, wearing a north face jacket, and his truck had 22s or bigger. Maybe he should have bought a $75 battery before he blew $400 on a new North Face, $50 on custom license plates, $2500 on tires and rims, and $10,000 on a vehicle package you don’t absolutely need unless you pretty much have a disposable income…..WTF

Ya, times two on this one.

No matter how crappy the situation I try and help people, been stranded once in my first car I owned, and after standing there for what seemed like ever a guy stopped and pulled me home across town. Said what do I owe ya and he said nothing, help someone else sometime. Sucks being on the other side of the story seeing someone who has enough time to stop for and wait to get a coffee but not enough to jump a battery for 5 minutes.

Good story tho, but you never know when a part is gonna break or you are gonna need help yourself.

I am nice when I can be, but when it comes down to it, you gotta look
out for #1. Translation: F*ck em. they are nice as pie when they
need something, but when they don't get it, they turn on you like
mayonase in the sun................my moto is "people suck, and I hate them"

DD:D Merry X-mas everyone!!!

I am always helping people out whenever I can. I don't see the big deal with him not helping when he is in a hurry and there is already someone else helping the guy out. I woulda done the same thing.

i also like to help out people when i can,i believe what comes around, goes around.
but i understand the guy already had help, and their wasnt much you could have done for him,so i may have done the same.
now if the guy told my to f off,i definatly would not let that one go,buddy needs a good beating, something he obviously hasnt got yet.

If you don't have the tools, you don't have the tools. If you feel bad after the fact about telling him to F off, how bad would you feel if you beat the crap out of him? When your car screws up and leaves you stranded, you aren't in a good mood. He's already stressing. He should have just said no problem and let you be on your way but guys with 22" wheels on Denalis are incapable of shutting their mouths. You did what you could. I would ask your boss to lighten up a little with being to work on time no matter what the circumstances. That's the biggest reason that you didn't help.

You are an ahole. I would have helped them out, but thats just how I am..

Not trying to start anything, but what would have been the point of him "helping"? He didn't have anything to offer that they didn't already have.

I'm actually the same ahole that helped a lady change her flat on sat when it was snowing and blowing 25mph with -35 windchill. I was the same guy that kept my cool when she proceeded to sit in her warm car and have a smoke as I froze my *** off since I was getting out of my vehicle to go inside when she stopped me, not dressed to change a tire. The best part about that deal was she didn’t even say thank you, just gave me a smile and a nod of acceptance on my job and drove off. I don’t have a problem helping people, actually I am home shopping and am looking for something outside of town so I have the opportunity to join a vol fire dept and give back to the community. If someone doesn’t have the tools or resources to help so be it, no reason to tell them to f off. Thinking about it some more it didn’t hit me till just now that there is a service station directly across the road with tow trucks and a shop, but I suppose this guy spent all his money on dubs instead.

I dont feel bad about what I said, I feel dumb that I stooped down to his level and prob said what he wanted me to say.

I would have asked her to roll down the window, ask if she's warmed up yet and before she can answer say alright there ya go, your tire wrench and jack are sitting here next to your tire. Have a nice day.:D
Whattya a betcharoonie.

As for the topic at hand What the he11 did he want you to help him with, you had no jumper cables. Did he want you to help him keep his man sausage warm while the grocery getter was charging up little winy mobile.
I tell ya some people think the world owes them a favor or something.
He sounds like a "look at me" douche.
Was he wearing a Monster hat with a flat brim cocked to the side????

I would have to guess that since he was asked to help, that he must have needed his help. You ever stop to think for one minute that just maybe the other person was late for work or something..;) lol...
