Has anyone tried one? How does it compare to the 8DN?

the 8dn is the incredible hulk......the ultimax is a 12 year old girl.
It doesn't...been there, done that and tried more than one(had to, LOL). 8DN is the way to go.

When my son & I were running 700's the Ult's worked great if you kept the clutch's clean.
Once I went to a 944 and my son to the 750 the Ult's didnt hold up, the 8DN's are bullet proof and grip pretty good if you keep the clutch and belts clean. I clean mine every other ride, it takes a few minutes for both sleds.

Well I guess I will stick with the 8DN then. I just read on Hartmann's site that they use the Ultimax with great success. They say it is a quarter inch longer allowing them to get the belt to the correct height in the secondary. When I shimmed my secondary to get the belt to ride just above the sheaves it squealed like a b@stard. Now I have it riding about flush with the sheaves and no squeal. Anyone have that issue?
