Ulmer turbo ?

I'm looking at trading for an 08 Ulmer turbo'd Nytro. It has the GT2854 turbo. Its a mid mount putting out 220 hp on 11 lbs of boost on 91 octane. I haven't heard much about them so can i get some input form the turbo experts? Keep in mind I'm green in the turbo department so i want something reliable and easier to maintain.

Don't have one but im definatly considering one. I know mtdream on here has been running one and i believe has had no problems with it. Im in the same boat as you and just want something about 220-230hp on pump.

Don't know much about their setup but have heard only good things from 2 different riders I met up with riding the Snowy Range:gossip:

I think the biggest + to them is the cast header and the trail tank.. for the $$... you know your header aint gonna break, and you get plenty of fuel. its a great kit for those looking for a mid level power range, and stock functional style sled.

The only real issue they have had is the header bolts come loose. I think there is an easy fix for it.

got mine, love it...Is not monster boost levels...but clearly gets you well above 200HP at elevation...

Have ahd some bolt issues, but those are normal with any mid mount, and very easily solved...Allen has some solutions that might be part of the new kits...Mine was an older one from when it was NW turbos...

Have had completely trouble free riding...except issues I caused by lack of preparation like bleeding coolant system....which is just a demo of my lack of mechanical knowledge...

Have no problem recommending them...

There is some small changes we have done through the season and some small changes for next season, but nothing too major at all. That sled has the NW Turbos style kit on it which is good overall, the intercooler could be just a tad bigger, but they will run great day in and day out overall.

You will love the Ulmer, just the service and know how that Allen has is second to none, he is a great guy to deal with and always willing to help. I am having a turbo put on my 2010 mtx 162se this summer by Ulmer, and I cant wait till next season already. I just know that Allen will have that thing just screaming for the deep pow!!!

I ran the Ulmer 180 kit with prem. pump gas and Super Q silencer. Installed it in January and rode 500 miles with no issues, the power and throttle response was awesome!

'08 Nytro, Ulmer Turbo, Timbersled Front, Rear, & Tunnel, Ice Age Rails, Fox Floats, CE 174" X 2.5", and a bunch of lighweight goodies.

I installed a ulmer kit this past fall and I have not had one problem with it love the tunability love the customer service it is a great kit for the money. Allen is a great guy to work with
